I even tried looking for one in the Open Source driver community to no avail. It doesn't appear that it's supported natively. I looked for it in the list of Canon drivers available to OS X and no joy.
The best I can suggest is to try a substitute driver for a similar Canon printer - one that is supported. Try Canon again and also try. The LBP 1000 and the LBP 1260 are supported by this driver set, perhaps they'll work for your 1210.
